Sync Google Sheets to Klaviyo: Turn Your Sheet into a Control Panel

Plenty of tools export Klaviyo into a spreadsheet. The direction most workflows actually need — pushing spreadsheet edits back into Klaviyo — is where they stop. SheetPort's write-back closes the loop: select rows in Google Sheets, and they become profile updates or list additions in Klaviyo.

What you can push from Sheets to Klaviyo

ActionWhat happens in Klaviyo
Upsert profilesEach selected row is created or updated as a profile, matched by email. Standard columns (name, phone, location) map automatically; any extra columns become custom properties on the profile.
Add to listSelected rows are added to any Klaviyo list you choose — ready for segments and flows.

Workflows this unlocks

Bulk-edit customer properties

Fix a misspelled property across 2,000 profiles, tag wholesale customers, or backfill a vip_tier field — with fill-down and find-and-replace instead of clicking through profiles one by one.

Formula-driven segmentation

Compute things Klaviyo can't easily: LTV deciles from your order export, RFM scores, "bought A but never B" flags. Write the result into a column, filter the rows, push them to a list.

Sheets as the intake point

Teams already collect signups, event leads and partner lists in spreadsheets. Instead of downloading and re-importing through Klaviyo's CSV wizard, push the rows straight from the sheet.

Clean before you send

Because SheetPort also pulls your existing profiles down, you can dedupe and normalize against the real list in the same tab before writing anything back.

How to push rows to Klaviyo

  1. Install SheetPort for Klaviyo and connect with a Private API key that has write access to Profiles and Lists (key setup guide).
  2. Put your data in a sheet with an email column plus any properties you want set.
  3. Select the rows to send.
  4. In the sidebar choose Upsert as profiles or Add to list and confirm. Write-back is a Pro feature ($19/month — pricing).
Only what you select is sent. Write-back never runs in the background on its own — it acts only on the rows you explicitly select and confirm, so a stray formula can't silently rewrite your Klaviyo account. Your data travels directly from your Google account to Klaviyo; SheetPort's servers never see it (privacy).

Versus Klaviyo's CSV import

Klaviyo's own CSV import works, but it means downloading the sheet, walking the upload wizard, and re-mapping columns every single time — and it only covers list imports, not ad-hoc property fixes. If your current routine is export–edit–reimport, the CSV alternative guide covers the full picture, including the pull direction and auto-refreshing reports.
